Class / Self Evaluation

A). Lo que me gusto de esta clase fue de queaprendi varias cosas como, como hacer proyectos en la computadora y tambien como usar el Microsoft word, Tambien lo que me gusto de esta clase fue de que el maestro hacia jugos tambien nos deja jugar con las computadoras....

Lo que no me gusto es que como yo no se mucho el ingles  y no le entiendo pues mis trabajos casi no los hacias y yo le decia al maestro que sentara a un amigo alado para que me traduciera y haga mi trabajo mejor pero el maestro nunca lo dejo 

B). Para mejorar la clase y hacer todos mis trabajos quiero que me pongan con un companero para que me tratusca las cosas y le pueda entender,por que si me lo traducen le entiendo y puedo hacer las cosas mejor..

La verda es que no me consentro muy bien por que no le entiendo a lo que me dicen y pues me aburro y me desconsentro mucho pero trato de concentrarme y hago lo que puedo para subir mi calificasion....

                             Oncologist

Duties and responsibilities: Oncology doctors, or oncologists, are specialists in the treatment of cancer patients, either as clinicians or in research and academic settings. As with all doctors, the pathway to this career is a long and demanding one; after earning an undergraduate degree, aspiring oncology doctors must complete medical school and a residency and earn licensure.

Salary: A PayScale.com report from September 2014 showed that oncologists in general earned a median annual salary of $217,856 at that time.

Education: All oncology doctors must complete an undergraduate degree program, four years of medical school and a residency or fellowship program that usually lasts two to four years, depending on the oncology specialty. Specialty areas include medical oncology, pediatric oncology, radiation oncology, or gynecological oncology.

             Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and responsibility:  A health science librarian conducts in-depth research on different medical topics in order to find the latest information available. These librarians are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical, scientific, and biomedical information for texts, journals, and electronic databases. Health science librarians are skilled at producing detailed bibliographies related to many different health fields, as well as publications and abstracts           

Salary:  In 2012, the average health science librarian earned an annual salary of around $52,000 (indeed.com). The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated that a professional working in an executive federal position could earn as much as $80,170, while those working in a legal field earned around $68,750.

Education:  To become a professional health science librarian, you must first complete a high school education with courses in science, math, and information technology and management. A bachelor’s degree in life sciences should then be followed by a master’s degree in library science (MLS), which is licensed through the American Library Association. 

                                

     Veterans Day

What is Veterans Day: Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918. In legislation that was passed in 1938, November 11 was "dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be hereafter celebrated and known as 'Armistice Day.'

What is the purpose of Veterans Day? This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918.

Why is it important show honor on Veterans Day? For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”

When is it? In the USA, Veterans Day annually falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918.
