Duties and Responsibilities:  As a nursing home facility's lead decision maker, this multifaceted role fuses business skillsets with clinical experience to offer nurses active in the field a chance to advance their careers.
Salary: A mid-career nursing home administrator should expect to earn between $65,000 and $90,000, though some earn more than $100,000. Salaries vary widely depending on the region of the United States, the size of the facility and type of ownership.
Education: Nursing home administrators in the U.S. are required to complete a state-approved training program and an internship. They must pass a licensing exam and complete continuing education programs for renewal.
