Psychologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychologists are mental health professionals who observe human behavior to offer interpretations of mental thought processes. Some work specifically with patient research, while others collaborate as part of the mental health-care process to diagnose and treat patients.

Salary: The median annual Psychologist salary is $87,387, as of March 24, 2016, with a range usually between $77,831-$99,426; however this can vary widely depending on a variety of factors.

Education: At the doctoral level, students may choose from a Doctor of Philosophy  or Doctor of Psychology program, depending on personal interests. They may consider Ph.D.  and programs accredited by the American Psychological Association, which accredits programs and internships for clinical, counseling and school psychology.
